FAQ

Shipping and delivery

How long does my order take to arrive?

Between 5 and 9 working days in mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, 6-10 in mainland Portugal and 7-12 in the rest of the European Union. We'd rather give you a realistic delivery time we meet than a pretty one we don't.

When is shipping free?

From €49 in Spain, €59 in Portugal and €69 in the rest of the EU. Below those amounts, €4.95, €5.95 and €7.95 respectively.

Will I pay customs charges or any extra fees when it arrives?

No. The price you see at checkout is the final price, taxes included. You'll never get an extra invoice from the courier.

Can I track my order?

Yes. As soon as it leaves we email you the tracking number and a link.

Do you ship to the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla?

Not yet. They sit outside the customs and VAT territory of the European Union, and we'd rather not offer it until we can do it with no surprises for you.

Returns

What if they don't like it?

You have 30 calendar days to send it back, even if you've simply changed your mind. The law requires 14; we extend it to 30 by choice.

Who pays for the return?

If the product arrived faulty, damaged or wrong, we pay and we send you a prepaid label. If you've changed your mind, the return shipping is at your expense (around €5-8 in Spain).

How long does the refund take?

We usually process it within 2-4 working days of receiving the product. The maximum legal period is 14 days.

Can I open the box?

Of course. You can open it and try it out just as you would in a physical shop without losing your right to return it.

Safety and ages

Are they safe for my child?

All our products carry CE marking and meet the applicable EN 71 standards. We require the test reports from an accredited laboratory from the manufacturer before we put anything on sale. You can read our full protocol in Safety & compliance.

From what age?

Every product page states the recommended age. It matters: toys with small parts are not suitable for children under 36 months because of the choking hazard.

What wood are they made of?

Mainly beech and pine, with non-toxic water-based finishes. Each product page sets out the specific materials for that product.

How do you clean them?

With a slightly damp cloth, dried straight away. Never soak them in water or put them in the dishwasher: the wood swells and cracks.

Product

Why do you have so few products?

Because we'd rather have three things that really work than three hundred we haven't tried. We'll grow slowly.

What is open-ended play?

An open-ended toy has no single right way to use it. The more possibilities it has, the longer it lasts and the more room it leaves for a child's imagination.

Is this Montessori?

Our products are inspired by Montessori principles: natural materials, autonomy, hands-on work. But you don't need to know anything about Montessori to see why they work.

Do you do gift bundles?

Yes. We have discounted bundles and we're working on gift wrapping. Write to us if you need something specific for a particular date.

Order and payment

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit and debit cards, plus the additional methods you see at checkout, such as Bizum, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Is it safe to buy here?

Payment is processed encrypted through the Shopify gateway. Nooki never stores your full card details.

Can I change or cancel an order?

If it hasn't shipped yet, yes. Write to us as soon as you can at hola@nooki.es with your order number.

Do you issue invoices?

Yes. Give us your tax details when you order, or write to us afterwards and we'll send it.

Other

How do I contact you?

At hola@nooki.es. We answer Monday to Friday, usually in under 24 working hours. A person replies, not a bot.

Are the reviews on the site real?

Yes, and we always state where they come from and whether they're verified. We don't publish made-up reviews or touch them up.
