Eco is five percussion instruments turned in beech wood: a roller with beads inside that rolls and sounds, two maracas in different sizes, a shaker shaped like a trumpet and a ring rattle. No speakers, no recorded tunes, no on switch. The sound is made by the child, which is why it stops when they have had enough.

It will make a sound, yes. But the volume of a wooden maraca is set by a four-year-old's hand, not by a speaker at 85 decibels. And by the time the noise wears thin you will have learnt the trick: "the whole song in a whisper" is the best way to play this.
