Juncos · Colour sorting game
It fits in a bag. And in a restaurant with a three-year-old, that changes everything.
Juncos is a cylindrical wooden pot with perforated lids and a handful of coloured rods and discs. The child posts each rod through the hole of its own colour. That is all. And there they stay, with that look of absolute concentration that only appears when something is taking just enough effort.
- It saves the restaurant and the waiting room — it fits in any bag, with its cloth pouch
- Played alone, with nothing to explain — and without you having to hover
- It corrects itself — if the rod does not go in, it is the wrong colour; you do not have to say a thing
- It prepares the hand for writing — pincer grip, wrist and precision, hundreds of times
- Nothing to lose under the table — everything is stored inside the pot
- No batteries, no lights, no noise
The toy that travels with you
A restaurant, a waiting room, a train. The three places where the phone always wins, because there is no alternative to hand.
Juncos weighs little, comes with its own pouch and has no pieces that roll under the table. It is the alternative that does fit where it is needed, which in the end is the only kind that works.
What they take away while playing
- Fine motor skillsGetting a rod into a small hole is pincer grip, wrist and precision. Direct preparation for writing.
- Hand-eye coordinationSee the colour, find the hole, correct the angle. Hundreds of times.
- Sorting by colourThe first logical operation a child learns: this goes with this.
- IndependenceThe toy corrects itself. If the rod does not go in, it is the wrong colour. They learn without anyone correcting them.
Four ways to play
- Sorting by colour. Each rod in its hole. The basic mode and the most absorbing.
- The discs alone. Stacking, ordering by colour, building towers. For the youngest.
- Counting. How many rods of each colour. First notions of quantity.
- Loose parts. The rods are fences, rails, table legs. Whatever today calls for.

30 days to return it even if the only reason is that it did not catch on · no customs charges or surprises at the door · honest pricing, with no permanent discounts and no prices inflated to be crossed out afterwards · a person answers at hola@nooki.es, almost always the same day.
Not everything fits at Nooki. A toy enters the catalogue only if it does three things: hold attention without batteries, have no single correct way of being used, and look right left out in the open. That is why there are few products and why we can vouch for all of them.
What you put on the table instead of the phone
It is small on purpose: it is made to fit in a bag and travel. Next time you are waiting somewhere, you will have something better to offer than a screen.
Try it at home for 30 days. If it does not catch on, we refund you with no questions asked.
The other two of the three
- Lluvia — the stick tower. The one that gets an adult to sit on the floor.
- Bosque — memory and colour on a round board. The only one where your child genuinely beats you.
The three together cost €12.90 less in the Nooki Play Pack.
Frequently asked questions
Is it very small?
Yes, and on purpose: it is made to fit in a bag and travel. If you are looking for something for the living room table, see Bosque.
Is it suitable for a two-year-old?
Only the discs, and always with an adult present. The rods are small parts and the recommended age is 3 and up.
Can it be washed?
Damp cloth and dry it straight away. Do not submerge it or put it in the dishwasher: it is wood.
Do I have to play with them?
No, and that is the point. It explains itself and corrects itself. You supervise, but they run the game.
What if they do not like it?
You have 30 days to return it, even if the reason is simply that it did not catch on.
