Lluvia · Wooden stick and balance tower
You pull out a stick. Nothing happens. You pull out another. Nothing again. And then the whole thing comes down at once and the whole house laughs.
Lluvia is a wooden structure with four arched legs holding a clear cylinder crossed by coloured sticks. On top, a handful of wooden marbles waiting. Each player rolls the die, pulls out the stick of the colour that comes up and prays. The tension builds on its own, without batteries and without a screen, until the marbles fall. And the moment they fall, everyone wants to build it again.
- It sits the whole family down — it works the same with a four-year-old as with a grandparent
- Twenty minutes together, not twenty minutes of truce — that is the difference
- The rules take a minute to explain — the first round starts before you have finished explaining them
- It trains waiting your turn — the best school of patience there is
- It goes back up in seconds — and there is always another round
- No batteries, no lights, no screens
The game that gets an adult to sit on the floor
Almost every wooden toy is made for the child to play alone. This one is not. Lluvia needs at least two people and works just as well with a four-year-old as with a grandparent.
It is the difference between buying something so they leave you in peace for twenty minutes and buying something to spend twenty minutes together. And at home, those twenty minutes tend to be the best part of the day.
What they take away while playing
- Fine motor skillsPulling out a stick without brushing the ones beside it takes a steady hand that can only be trained by doing it.
- Impulse controlWaiting your turn when three sticks are left and everything is hanging by a thread is pure patience.
- Colour recognitionThe die decides. Picking the easy stick is not allowed.
- Anticipation and strategyThey start working out which stick is holding which marble. Nobody teaches them that.
Four ways to play
- The classic round. Die, colour, stick. Whoever drops the most marbles loses.
- The other way round. Build the tower together, placing sticks in turns. Cooperating instead of competing.
- Alone against the clock. How many sticks can you pull out before the first marble falls?
- Without the die. For the youngest: pull out whichever stick they like and count the marbles that fall.

About the acrylic. Almost everything in Lluvia is wood, but the central cylinder is clear acrylic: it is what lets you see the crossed sticks and the marbles falling, and wood could not do that. We mention it because the photo does not show the difference.
Contains small marbles and sticks. Not suitable for children under 3. Choking hazard. Always use it under the direct supervision of an adult, and collect the marbles when you finish if there are younger siblings at home.

Not everything fits at Nooki. A toy enters the catalogue only if it does three things: hold attention without batteries, have no single correct way of being used, and look right left out in the open. That is why there are few products and why we can vouch for all of them.
The game that makes nobody look at their phone
A round lasts ten minutes and there is always another. It is the toy in the catalogue that most often gets the whole family at the same table, looking at each other.
Try it at home for 30 days. If it does not catch on, we refund you with no questions asked.
The other two on the table
- Bosque — memory and colour on a round board. The only one in the catalogue where your child genuinely beats you.
- Juncos — fine motor skills that fit in a bag. For the restaurant and the waiting room.
The three together cost €12.90 less in the Nooki Play Pack.
Frequently asked questions
Can a three-year-old play?
Yes, with an adult beside them keeping an eye on the marbles. At that age the version without the die works better: pull out sticks and count what falls.
Is it all wood?
The structure, the sticks, the marbles and the die are wood. The central cylinder is clear acrylic, and that is what lets you see the game from the inside.
What if a stick gets lost?
It comes with spare sticks, so losing one does not ruin the game. If you lose several, write to us and we will send replacements.
How long does a round last?
Between five and fifteen minutes depending on how many of you are playing. That is exactly as long as a four-year-old holds interest.
What if they do not like it?
You have 30 days to return it, even if the reason is simply that it did not catch on.
